Relationship Breakups What You Need To Know

Relationship breakups are a terrible thing, and are devastating for most people. What most people want, more than anything else, is to find someone to spend their lives with, someone who will always be there for you. Thinking you have this and then losing it is one of the worst events most people will suffer in their life.
After relationship breakups, people tend to suffer from the same kind of emotional healing process that people who have suffered the death of a loved one. This isnt surprising, since the death of a relationship is very much like the death of someone. But unlike the death of a person, sometimes something can be done to take back the death of a relationship.

Relationship breakups do not have to be forever in many cases. Far more relationships can be saved than those that are permanently destroyed. What you have to know and understand is the various kinds of relationship breakups that exists and what you can do about them.

This article is going to give you a brief look into the kinds of relationship breakups and what strategies youll need to undertake to fix them. Not all relationships can be repaired, and not all of them should be, but most of them can. You just need to know the right techniques for each kind of breakup.

The Abusive Relationship Breakups
This is a breakup that should stay a break up. Unlike the other relationship breakups, this one can and should stick. Theres a chance that you may be considering returning to someone who physically or mentally abused you, but you need to stick with this kind of breakup. No one should take being abused.

The Mutual Breakup
Sometimes, both people in the relationship may want out and the relationship ends by mutual consent. Now, if this is truly a mutual breakup, theres a good chance that this is another relationship that shouldnt be repaired. On the other hand, if it was just called a relationship and was really one of the next two kinds of relationship breakups, thats a different matter entirely.

They Broke Up with You
This is usually the most hurtful kind of break up. If this has happened to you, what you need to do first is figure out exactly why the relationship ended. Once you know this, you have to decide if what went wrong is something you could or should fix. If it is something you can and should fix, then this needs to be your starting point.

You Broke Up with Them
Sometimes, we break up with people and then realize weve thrown away something good. When this happens, the first thing you need to do is reestablish trust. This means that youre going to essentially start the relationship over. Start slow, with coffee dates or something similar, and then work your way slowly towards repairing the relationship.

No matter which of the relationship breakups youve experienced, you need to be aware that help is out there. You just need to find the right kind of advice and instruction to allow you to mend feeling and repair your relationship and get your ex back.

I Want My Ex Back How Can I Get Them Back

So youve been on your own for a couple of weeks now and you wake up one morning with this burning thought in your mind “I want my ex back!”  Which is a pretty normal reaction if you find that youre still in love with your ex.  What is also natural is that you will find you have no real idea how to go about getting them back.  So you end up looking around for help in order that you dont make a complete mess in your attempt to win them back.
Well first of all, before you go off trying to get your ex back, make sure that youre not going through the natural grieving process that comes at the end of a relationship.  At the end of most  relationships there is a period when the hurt and missing is so intense that it is akin to the grieving process.  During this process it is very natural to have the feeling “I want my ex back!”and for that feeling to be all consuming.
This is because you are grieving for all the dreams and hopes you had that were wrapped up in your ex love and your ex relationship.  So make real sure that youre not going through this process before you attempt to get them back.
Assuming that it is more than natural grieving, you are now ready to make good on your thought that “I want my ex back!” your next move should always be to figure out what went wrong.
This is important, because unless you take the time to go over the mistakes that you might have made, then getting back with your ex will only eventually lead to the same break down in the relationship as before and that will do neither of you any good.  So own your mistakes and anything that you might have done wrong to contribute to the break down of the relationship.
A vital tip to remember is not to focus on what you believe your ex might have done wrong.  Let them take care of their stuff for now and you take care of your own.  There is time in the future for the two of you to dig around in the collective causes, but for now, you must work on your own issues and mistakes.
If youre sincerely clear that “I want my ex back!” then all that has been outlined is really the start that you need to take to get back with your ex and to secure a future for the two of you that will not fall into the same mistakes and pitfalls of before.

My Boyfriend Dumped Me Picking Myself Back Up

“I feel like dying because my boyfriend dumped me!” It isnt the end of the world and it isnt even close. Even though it hurts, it isnt going to kill you. This is something that you can and will get over. It will take some work, some help, some readjusting in the way you think, and some time. Be sure that just because you are upset that “my boyfriend dumped me” doesnt mean that life stops, life goes on. Be ready for it.

Getting past the idea that “my boyfriend dumped me” isnt going to be easy but it also isnt going to be impossible. You are going to have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and move along. The alternative means that you will be stuck wallowing in your own misery. If that is no life that you want to have then do what it takes to get out of it. It takes work to climb back out of the pit but the work is worth it.

Dont be afraid to ask for help but be careful where it is that you ask for it. If you are battling depression because of it, seek professional help. This doesnt mean that you are going crazy, depression is something that many people deal with so dont worry about people judging you. Do try to beat it, though.

It may be, though, that you have good friends or family that can help you out while you are trying to deal with that fact that “my boyfriend dumped me.” Be careful to not lay too much on these people, though, and when you ask for advice, follow it. If you are constantly complaining about your life and the situation but arent following up on what advice is given, they are going to reach a point that you dont want. They are going to get tired of you and cut you off or seriously consider it.

You should also re-frame the way you look at the situation. Try looking at it from a different angle or perspective. While you may see it as the end of the world, from another persons perspective, it may not be. Try to find that other persons perspective. Try to see what good it is that you have to offer someone. What are your best qualities? For sure there is going to be someone out there who will appreciate them. Wait for them to come along.

While you are waiting, find some way to improve yourself. Find something that you have long dreamed about doing and throw your life into it. If there is something non-romantic that you have longed to achieve in life, pursue it. Do you want to make yourself better in anyway, now is the time to do it. Try to find someway to use this time and that negative energy you have and do something positive with it.

The end result will be a happier you. Once you have found that happiness, it will become magnetic and draw in the person that you dream of, the one that makes you smile and makes you feel like you belong. It will make you look back on this dark time in your life when you were crying because “my boyfriend dumped me” and see it as one of the best things that ever happened to you.

How to know if your ex girlfriend wants you back

Have you recently broken up with your girlfriend and trying to win her back? Do you still find it difficult accepting that she is gone? Is it still difficult for you believing that this was someone who not too long ago, couldn’t just live without you but today seems doesn’t even give a hoot about your existence? Are you contemplating trying to win her back or lacking the courage and or knowledge to get her back?

Fortunately, you should realize that the chances of your getting her back are alive and well. That is, if she is in any way displaying any of the following signs which generally indicate that she still have an interest in getting back together with you. All you need to do is to be tactful in how you handle the situation as you attempt winning her back for good.

1. Constantly tries to keep in touch

Is she always calling you, texting or emailing you to check on how you are doing? While at the surface it might seem normal for her to want know how you are doing, you should be able to tell when she wants to keep you in her daily life. If she was really over you, she wouldn’t be that bothered.

Things are this point can get a little tricky, because if you allow the situation to persist, you may from being a temporary ex boyfriend become her permanent friend, a situation you really don’t want to get into. So while not ignoring her altogether which you really can’t afford to do, you should keep a healthy distance.

2. Becomes jealous at the mention of other girls

It is a good sign of her lingering interest in you if your ex girlfriend reacts to certain things you do or say. Of particular interest here is she often gets jealous whenever you unintentionally talk about other girls. The later indicates that she is not fully ready to let go of you yet even when she apparently appears not wanting to take you back. She still believes that you “belong” to her to a certain degree.

As a caution, try and appreciate the fact that she still has feelings for you which present an opportunity for you to get back into her life, rather than abusing the privilege and purposely trying to get her to become jealous. Remember that she still has the upper hand and that you are not yet emotional strong enough to start playing mind games with her.

3. Tries to make you feel jealous

As if her getting jealous is not enough, a sure sign that you are well on target to getting her back will be if see seem to be trying to make you feel jealous by equally mentioning other guys. However, most guys at this stage might wrongly interpret this as a sign that she might have moved on.

You need to really study her body language at this stage more so if she has shown any previous sign of jealousy as aforementioned. You must remain calm and calculated, as this will make her to try harder in getting you to react thus disarming her.

4. Excessive flirting and unbecoming conduct

This is a simple sign that there is still some element of attraction between you and her. While these signs might seem like an open invitation to get back into the relationship, it is however better to give her some space.

While the attraction still appears to be there it is not enough to keep her, let her come to her own conclusion on your ability to give her what she wants. If you jump in too early, you risk blowing it all away.

5. Keeps “Loose Ends”

How much of her stuffs are still in your apartment? Why does she keep dropping by every now and then to pick up one thing or the other? Simple, by leaving some of her stuff in your place, she has an open invitation to come to your place on a regular basis. Your ex girlfriend is simply not ready to let go of you yet.

Is it easier to get your girlfriend back than to find someone new

Here is an excerpt from a new article:

I can tell that being in a relationship was a large source of Davids self-esteem. Secretly, he was proud of being a "regular guy" who had a girlfriend. It made him feel like a man.

Now, he thinks his male friends see him as a failure for getting dumped. He feels embarrassed about it.

He wants to get back the security and status of being in a relationship — but to him, getting back a woman he has already been intimate with seems a whole lot easier than trying to meet new women, and get close to one of them.

Read the full text here, about why for some guys, getting a girlfriend back is the easier option: Is it easier to get your girlfriend back than to find someone new?

Why Men Leave Their Wives

Todays women can find it challenging sometimes to keep their marriages intact and happy. Many women wonder why men leave their wives and what they can do to make sure it doesnt happen to them.
The truth of the matter is that our society has made it very difficult for men and women to find long term loving relationships.  Why? Because the rules our society has adopted are based on inaccurate information.
One of the most obvious misconception that is pervasive throughout our society is the idea that men only want sex and/or have a much higher sex drive than women.  The truth is that men and women have similar sex drives but men have been encouraged, by society, to fulfill their needs while women have been discouraged from having sex until they are married.
This leads to many misunderstandings between men and women and how they approach their relationships.  It might mean a man will be more tempted to cheat on his wife because after all, its in his nature.  And it could mean that a women uses sex with the hopes of keeping her husband in love with her so he will stay in the marriage.
If we really got to the bottom of things though we would understand that men and women want basically the same things in a relationship.  Both want to feel loved, respected, and desired by their partners.  When you break it down like that it doesnt really seem all that hard, does it?
If you want to keep your marriage strong try to meet your husbands needs...all of them, not just sexually. A word of caution here though.  Because of the way our society has told us to behave women have the tendency to think that they have to meet their husbands needs even if that means ignoring their own.  No! All that will do is make you resentful and bitter and that wont keep a marriage intact.
While its important to try to meet your husbands needs it cant be done to the detriment of your own.  Dont put your wants and needs on hold to satisfy your husband, youll be unhappy, hell be unhappy (and bored) and the marriage wont last.  For a marriage to thrive both parties need to be happy, healthy, stable, and have their needs being met on a regular basis.
So for any women who wants to know why men leave their wives its usually because his needs arent being met, and I dont just mean his sexual needs.  I mean on some level he doesnt feel like you love, desire, or respect him and he will try to find someone who will.

Why Men Leave Pregnant Women

If you have wondered, hopefully not from personal experience, why men leave pregnant women there are many reasons. If the woman is his wife than it will probably be completely unexpected; after all he committed to the marriage why bail now?
Other than the unexpectedness of a married man leaving his pregnant wife, its usually pretty easy to spot the type of man who would leave his pregnant girlfriend.  I think all women need to use common sense before they get intimately involved with any man.
First of all if you are entering into an intimate relationship  with a man before you have really gotten to know him you have to be aware that there are many  potential dangers besides unexpected pregnancy.  If youve been in the relationship for at least a little time there have probably been many signs that this guy is a loser.
Women are too quick to forgive bad behavior in the men they date.  They will say things like "hes got a good heart, "thats just the way he was raised", "its a guy thing", etc. to justify the selfish and inconsiderate things their boyfriends do. If youre this type of woman you really should get counseling so you can understand why you would settle for this type of relationship.
The reality is that some men just dont like women and they get off on treating them badly.  For some guys it can be a real ego boost to treat his girlfriend like trash and have her keep coming back for more.  If youre in a relationship with that type of guy its not too much of a stretch to think he might leave you if you got pregnant.
Any man who is verbally, emotionally, and especially physically abusive will more than likely leave you whenever the relationship isnt convenient for him.  If your man exhibits any of these traits you should make darn sure that you dont accidentally get pregnant.  Even if he doesnt leave, he is already abusive and once you are tied down with a child that abuse is almost guaranteed to increase.
So if you are with a man who doesnt treat you with love, affection, and respect, you shouldnt be surprised to find yourself all on your own if you become pregnant.  Im not sure why men leave pregnant women expect that the term man is probably not a very accurate description of these types of guys.

I Want My Wife Back 3 Tips

If you’re saying, “I want my wife back,” but you’re unsure where to start, there are some easy things you can do to make it possible. While no one tip or set of tips are going to guarantee that you’ll get your wife back, some things do work better than others. Soon you may not be saying, “I want my wife back,” but “why didn’t I do these things years ago?”
Being extra nice and polite is the first thing you have to do. That sounds ridiculously simple, doesn’t it? But when we’re with someone for a while, we tend to take them for granted. And if right now you’re saying, “I want my wife back” then this applies to you.
No matter what happens, you need to be on an even keel, nice and polite. Unfortunately, it’s easier to be nice and polite when you’re still together because you see her more often. But it is possible to run into someone often “accidentally on-purpose,” especially if you live in a small town or are part of a close-knit community.
Run into her often and use every moment you’re near her as an opportunity to show her that you can be considerate and polite. The important thing is to avoid things like getting angry or impatient with her.
Sometimes this is a difficult thing to judge. You might think your wife wants you to be jealous. Or you might think the whole breakup is a ploy to get you to act differently. If you keep thinking of the breakup along those terms, you’re in for a disappointment.
Sometimes people do break up with someone to prove a point and to get their lover to come around to their way of thinking. But most often it’s not a game, and the person left because they were unhappy with you and the relationship.
If you’re saying, “I want my wife back!” and you’re trying to convince yourself that she didn’t really intend to leave you, but instead meant get a rise out of you, stop thinking that way now.
You simply shouldn’t presume to know something that could be completely wrong. So assume that she had reasons that were good enough for her. And show her that there’s more to you than meets the eye.
So from being nice and polite, we move into being thoughtful. They are different things, though they’re overlapping, too. Being nice and polite can apply to everyday situations. Being thoughtful means going that extra mile.
Try sending her a card telling her she’s special. Send it for no real reason, no occasion, except to remind her that you think she’s special. Surprise her in a way you probably rarely did when you were together, and reap the rewards.
Finally, be thoughtful enough to leave her alone. You might think, “I want my wife back,” but if she’s not ready to try and you keep hounding her on the issue, you’ll only drive her further away.

My Boyfriend Dumped Me What To Do Next

If youre thinking, "My boyfriend dumped me. Now what do I do?" youre not alone. Millions of people have been in the same position you are right now. Things do get better, whether you get back together with your boyfriend or not. But if youre despairing, "My boyfriend dumped me!" then you need to have a good cry and then get yourself together.

You probably want to get your ex back. While there are no guarantees that youll be able to get back together, there are some things you can do that will help. The first thing is to realize that people get dumped every day for a number of different reasons. And the one you think caused your breakup might not be the real reason.

You have stop assuming and stop telling people, "My boyfriend dumped me because of—“, fill in the blank, if youre not exactly sure thats why he dumped you. How do you know for sure why you were dumped? You have to ask, if you really want to know.

Be sure and only ask if you think you can take the truth, though. If asking could cause him to tell you something that youve suspected but have been in denial about, for instance, will it cause you more pain to find out than to not know? Maybe you should just let the past stay there, and work on the future, in that case.
But if you need to know—and you might if you really want to work things out—then youll have to ask. Try not arguing with the answer you get when you ask. Just accept that "my boyfriend dumped me because of this," and move on.

The next step is to simply ask if he thinks theres a chance. If the reason he broke up with you is something you believe you can fix, then you should make that clear to him. Let him know youre willing to work on these things because you believe that you have something special and you want to make it work
It might really be hard to do these things. Being dumped hurts. But if you want to get back together and make your relationship work, then there has to be honest communication going on between you. And the worst thing that can happen is that things arent going to work out.

If thats the case and theres no chance of you getting back together despite any efforts you might put forth, then at least you made the effort and probably learned something about yourself.

Examine the reasons he broke up with you and you might decide that its not really a bad thing. Even if you know youre better off, it feels crummy to get dumped. Be nice to yourself and treat yourself to a facial or a pedicure.

And try to remember that "My boyfriend dumped me!" is something that many others have had to deal with, and they made things work out, so you can too.

Want My Wife Back I Screwed Up

Well, you blew it and now you are crying, “I want my wife back!” Was it something dumb that you did or kept doing? You probably had it coming, then. You dug your hole and now youre stuck in it. So are you going to just stay in that hole or are you going to try and climb out of it? If you are serious when you say, “I want my wife back” then you better get climbing.

Those who "want my wife back” need to know this word: HUMILITY. You better believe that it is going to take some crawling and some begging if you are going to get her back. You cant start feeling that you are too good to come back to her on your knees. If she is still mad at you, you probably deserve it.

The first thing you need to do is admit that you messed up. Dont make excuses for it and dont try to cover it up. If she starts telling you how bad it is, you have to agree with it. This is no time to try and defend what you did. Dont lie about it, you have to be honest. Lying will only get you in more trouble. Also, dont try and gloss over it saying it wasnt that big of a deal. If it cost you your marriage, then obviously it was a big deal.
The second thing that you are going to have to do is not just tell her that you are going to better. You may have tried that before but didnt get better. You have to make her believe it. It will take more than words to get her to believe it. If there is something that you did that you should stop doing then you probably need to take steps to stop it.

For those of you that have a problem with drugs or alcohol, you better go and get some help. You should be working on that before you start telling her that you are trying to change. If it has to do with anger issues, get enrolled in anger management classes and start taking them. Whatever problem it is she says you have, you better be making steps to get it corrected. If you really want get your ex back, you better get serious about making those changes.

You may find this to be a lot of work and that is because it is hard work. You may think that you are just fine the way you are but “the way you are” caused the breakup to happen in the first place. The way you were wasnt good enough.

Your pride may cause you to believe that you are too good to do a lot of the above but to get your wife back you need to lose your pride and learn a lot of humility. You cant let your pride get in the way of doing what you need to do to when you “want my wife back”.

How to handle your boyfriends ex girlfriend

Even if your boyfriend is completely over his ex-girlfriend (and we hope he is if he is with you) sometimes it’s tough for us to avoid comparing or even asking questions about HER, and if she is still in the picture ie., they are still friends, then getting over that relationship is even tougher. And like it or not even if you haven’t had to deal with an ex-girlfriend in one of your relationships sooner or later you will have to and we are here to help you through it!

If you need to ask questions about his ex for some reason then keep them specific and brief. Remember the reason for the question and if it doesn’t serve a real purpose to know then don’t ask.

Avoid comparing yourself to her, even if your competitive nature drives you to it. Remind yourself that he is with you and not with her and that is what really matters.

If you are feeling a little insecure about his ex then don’t be afraid to share your feelings with your boyfriend. Let him know that you are feeling a little insecure and allow him to reassure you that you are the one he loves and not her. Sometimes a little reassurance can go a long way.

Don’t obsess over her or their relationship. That can be crazy-making for you and will come out in some way shape or form in your relationship. If you are intensely jealous and freaking out over her with your boyfriend that will definitely be a turn-off.

Don’t try to figure out “why” you might feel jealous or curious about her. It’s perfectly normal to have questions about your boyfriend’s ex and many of those random thoughts include questions like “Was he in love with her? What did she look like? Did he love her more than me? Was she prettier than me? Why did they break up?” and so on. The less you know the more curious you may be but that doesn’t mean you need to go on a quest to find out more information about her or her relationship with your man. Don’t beat yourself up for having the thoughts you have, they are just harmless thoughts that are perfectly normal. Allow yourself to have them but then let them pass without trying to figure out the answers. This may seem tough at first but eventually you will stop thinking about her as you continue having a great relationship.

Please share any stories you have about dealing with your boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend!

How to hurt my ex girlfriend

I posted this in breaking up, but it dissappeared.

Long story short, my ex hurt me very badly on purpose.

She broke up with me in February but we got back together in March. We only dated for four months but our chemistry was incredible. She told me she needed me in her life, that she loves me, that I make her want to be a better person, etc. Things were going well until she asked for space again. I didnt let it bother me and apparently that made her change her tune.  She asked me to come over and I did. She said Im still mad at yoy but Im just being cordial. In my own mind, I could see that this wasnt good. That something relatively small could happen and she would let her emotions get the best of her. So I left that night and wrote a break up letter. I was very nice about it, and even told her how much I love her and how important she is to me, but that her emotions get the best of her and that she needs to figure her brain out, and that its hurting me to have to deal with her behavior.

I gave myself space for two days while she kept texting. I gave in and met up with her. Stayed the night at her house and in the morning she asked me what my problem was. Simple: that she was going to break my heart.

Well, that night she asked me to hang out with her at the bar. When she arrived, she ignored me for most of the night. She flirted with other guys in front of me, even some dude she has a history with. Some guy kept hitting on her and she bought him a shot, in front of me. Like a ****, I stayed and tried to keep my cool, but it was written all over my face. She then has the nerve to text that Im being jealous and that I have " no idea the **** you put me through".

She leaves and makes a point to stare at me when she walks out. I go to her house and she tells me shes going to the bathroom and then texts me "you cant stay here anymore, night". She thought I left. I didnt.

A few minutes later she comes out and I confront her as shes trying to leave for her sisters house. I told her that shell never meet another man as good as me. She tries to get into her friends car, but I pulled the door open and told her that she planned all this out, to break my heart, and that she got exactly what she wanted.

The next day she called me, so I blocked her number. She kept calling, and she called me once today (I can see the calls that Ive blocked).

She hurt me so badly, I really feel devastated, and I dont know what to do.

Its worth mentioning that she told me a few days before that she could never hurt me. I cant believe she would do this the same day I told her that I was afraid shed hurt me.

Whats going on here? What do you all think? Thank you very, very much!

10 Songs Ive Cried To

10 Songs Ive Cried To

When I briefly pause and contemplate what I’m trying to achieve here, I realise all of this is pretty stupid. I am yet to feel pride for any of my articles which focus specifically on songs (2014’s The 20 Greatest Songs Of All Time was not even my opinion, and 2015’s The 100 Best Songs Of The Decade So Far was understandably laughed at by most people), and similarly, I am yet to like any of those autobiographical music pieces either (remember 2013’s 25 Albums That Changed My Life? No, me neither). But here I find myself writing not only a combination of those two regrettable themes, but doing so whilst exposing the weaker side of my human by admitting I have indeed cried before. Which, according to Robert Smith, boys don’t do.

Well, here’s the thing: I wrote this blog because I don’t have much time this month, and it’s a very easy filler piece, one which I can quickly shove out with minimal effort and then relax afterwards, so whatever, Becki. Also, Robert Smith has definitely cried before, I think thats what he was actually saying, and you just know the dude couldn’t take a punch to the face. Anyway, if nothing else, this article shows I have a heart and you should love and care for me.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 1. Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven

1. Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven

Its poetic how the first song I recall reducing me to tears, was in fact focused upon the very act of crying itself. My exact age is long forgotten, but I was definitely a mini-kiddie, sitting in my lounge, probably smiling along to this great little guitar piece, because I smiled a lot when I was a child. That’s when my father sadistically informed me that this emotionally driven single told the painful tale of loss and suffering, as Eric was mourning his four-year-old son who had fallen to his death from a 53rd story window. Well, naturally my delicate undeveloped heart couldn’t quite comprehend a father and son being forced apart in such a tragic manner, and I burst into a puddle of my own grievance for this poor man, while my own father just laughed at me. In fact, my dad still finds the story hilarious, and continues to tell this very narrative at every family gathering he can.

2. Placebo - My Sweet Prince

Fast forward many many years later when I was already a corrupt teenager, and naturally I knew my masculinity card removed all rights to weep at anything—let alone something as trivial as music. So I built a nice little wire fence around my feelings and swallowed any pathetic melancholy down into the depths of my stomach until they boiled over into an aggressive anger, which was a much more acceptable manly response, and still is to this day. However, my security system kinda stopped working when I was perhaps 14 or 15 and had dedicated a large portion to my life to smoking weed, which inadvertently crumbled these walls of defense one by one, rendering any sort of regular emotional balance impossible (or at least not as important as getting high). And that’s when this song came in, as my one friend and I got perhaps a little bit too stoned, put on this record, and shared a little snivel in each other’s arms. These sobs were less provoked by the song’s emotion, mind you, but rather by the overall beauty of the moment. “It’s like, a jellyfish, man,” I distinctly recall my mate telling me. Oh wow, soooo truuuuue.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 3. John Legend - Ordinary People

3. John Legend - Ordinary People

And this is where things get dark, I’m sorry. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, as by the time I was 21 years old, I could no longer sustain the harmony between reckless self destruction and the art of staying alive. I think anyone playing this type of dangerous game would inevitably find themselves crashing into one direction or the other, being forced to make the drastic decision whether they wanted to live or die. In my case, 2005 was coming to an end, and my life had melted into a string of shit. I wasn’t particularly interested in being myself and had resigned to letting myself slowly waste away until I hopefully disappeared completely. Which is why, thinking back, I’m surprised I made the last minute dive towards rescue like I did, and ended up checking myself into a clinic. Proud of my chosen path, I called up the love of my life and enthusiastically told her the news that I was finally going to get better. “That’s great,” she responded. “But I can’t do this anymore. It’s over.” In hindsight, it makes sense why she would break up with the miserable fuck I was, but at the time, it felt like I had been kicked at my lowest point. To combat this inner dilemma, I embarked on a four day binge without a blink of sleep, finally crashing out and then waking up some time later in a state from Satan, an hour before my dad was set to pick me up and take me to the loony bin. To kill the excruciating waiting time, I turned on the TV, and this Legend song was the first thing that came on. Damn, I remember it so well, it perfectly summed up all the things I felt for my ex in that moment, and when coupled with the nasty after-effects of the yesterdays indulgence (as well as the apprehension towards a two month lockdown with crazy people), I dramatically broke into pieces on the floor, sobbing my life out into the carpet, leaving this as probably the most bleak entry on the list. In fact, when I think about the song I’ve cried to, this is always the first that comes to mind.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 4. The Beatles - For No One

4. The Beatles - For No One

Following on flawlessly from that last entry: a month after I had been committed to the mental ward, I started feeling pretty damn perky. I had been stuffed fill of professional home cooking, I had attended countless therapy sessions, I had met plenty of fuckups who were much worse than me, and I had completed the first stint with a badge of honour. The medication was working! My brain-chemicals were balanced for perhaps the first time in my life! And because of my good behaviour, I was granted a much more lenient second month, of which allowed such luxuries as music and visitors! Wow! Which was fucking perfect for me, because it was around here that I had become a terminal Beatlemaniac, and needed my regular fix of The Fab Four to keep my happy pouches wet. However, this song specifically had a bit of an opposite effect on me, as once again its words seemed to describe the latter days of my ex-girlfriend so accurately, and I cried to it more than once. But, being the vengeful asshole I am, I did utilise the track to my own gain, forcing the aforementioned girl to listen to the song herself when she visited me, whilst brutally explaining the turmoil she had put me through. She cried too that day. Bless her, really.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 5. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

5. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

In all fairness, there isn’t much of a story here. I was 23 years young, sitting at my desk during my very first job, and this song invited itself into my headphones. The weird thing is that I’d heard it many times before as one of my mother’s favourites, but I think on this occasion I was super hungover or something, and I totally choked up at the potent lyrics of hope and the charmingly simply guitar work. Thankfully, no one noticed my unprofessionalism, which was lucky, but I still happily consider this track to be one very cry-worthy composition which nobody should be ashamed of letting go to.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 6. The Chariot - Cheek

6. The Chariot - Cheek.

And then I guess I grew up and ran out of tears, because it wasn’t until 2012 that I can recall crying over a song again. In fact, to label this ‘a song’ is to almost do it a disservice, as it is essentially a soundbyte from the final Charlie Chaplin speech in The Great Dictator film, which has actually grown bigger wings and become even more popular on social media in recent times. However, my first introduction to the delivery was many years earlier, extended from the metalcore hands of The Chariot, who added to these powerful words with an aggressive strength only the metal genre could accentuate. And it picked at my tear ducts, not out of grief or distress, but out of encouragement as a member of the human race. It gave me incentive to take action. It inspired me to stand up to the harsh realities of our system. But then I put Rihanna back on and forgot what I was doing.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 7. Dustin Kensrue - Pistol

7. Dustin Kensrue - Pistol

The 27th of March 2012 was not only the day I met Mike Skinner from The Streets, but was also the day when my current brother-in-law proposed to my little sister. He did the deed by performing the above song to her, complete with a live band and in front of a large audience, which obviously takes guts and I respect the dude for it (even if anything to do with love is totally gross and makes me want to vomit). Perhaps these were the reasons as to why this particular rendition didn’t provoke my sadjuices, but it was the first time I’d even heard of the tune, and found myself compulsively revisiting the track over the course of the next few weeks. And each of these listens brought me back to the moment my sister was promised to another family, and that is what eventually produced a tiny cry at how beautiful life can be. And they lived happily ever after.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 8. Eddie Vedder - Sleeping By Myself

8. Eddie Vedder - Sleeping By Myself

Fucking girls, man! It was a few mere years ago, near the end of 2013, where I had my second (and last, please God) truly atrociously painful breakup, a result of a girl who I thought I loved, sleeping with a dude I thought was a friend. The dissolution hit me a touch harder than the one before in some respects, perhaps because I was an adult now, and such an irrational agony tends to be more scary when you are expected to have some control over your emotions. It got real bad too, I cried plenty without the need for any music, and there were even a few occasions where I’d completely forget to breathe, I’m not even joking. It was so so fucking horrible, I cannot express this enough, I was extremely depressed. Anyway, at some point during my self loathing, this song invaded my usual trusty playlist, and even though I had heard it a few times before, the lyrics suddenly related quite specifically to my situation at the time. I should have know there was someone else! I will forever be sad and lonely! I will be sleeping by myself tonight! Oh, Eddie, I hear you, buddy! ::cry emoji::

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 9. La Dispute - I See Everything

9. La Dispute - I See Everything

An unlikely candidate to sob like a child to would be La Dispute. Because, you know, theyre all post-hardcore and shit. But the lyrics on I See Everything are still some of the most genuinely gut-wrenching words that I have ever come across, turning my eyes damp on multiple occasions and never ever failing to infect me with goosebumps. I don’t know, call me a softy, but songs about kids dying from cancer kinda bother me a bit. A really hard to comprehend factor of life. A scarcely addressed topic in the music world.

10 Songs Ive Cried To: 10. The Beatles - In My Life

10. The Beatles - In My Life

This is a wonderful choice for our send off, because as I previously mentioned, I’ve been a Beatles fanatic for many years now, and the doctors say they can’t do anything to help me. However, there are some of the group’s more highly regarded songs which I never really connected to as much as the general population, and In My Life was definitely one of those offenders for a long time. I can’t accurately explain it now, but I think said song just seemed like some run-of-the-mill Lennon throwaway, forcing an aura of nostalgia without ever quite getting there. Well, that was until 2014, when my little sister married that Pistol boy in one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending. Afterwards at the reception, the bride and bride’s daddy (my daddy too!) took their customary dance, which as you had already assumed, was held to this song. And then suddenly ... within that context ... it made so much sense. I’m not sure if Lennon even considered his composition to be interpreted from the standpoint of a dad and daughter connection as he hands her over to another man, but the idea simply destroyed me. I burst out, and looked over to my mother for reassurance. Her cheeks too were streaming in liquid, and so we hugged and that felt a bit better.

How To Save My Marriage

Do you wonder “how to save my marriage?”  This article tells you how to save your marriage.
First, you need to identify the trouble in your relationship.  Some common troubles include:
· Money concerns
· Child rearing difficulties
· Lack of sex
· Lack of communication
· Loss of identity
And, of course, there are many others.  You may discover that there is one main problem or you may identify several smaller problems that are eating away at your marriage.
When you identify the problem or problems that are at the root of your marriage troubles, you will be able to move on to the next step which is close, personal interaction.
In this step, you will need to be open to extensive conversation.  If you have not had a lot of open communication during your marriage, you may want to consider counseling in order to facilitate the personal interaction that is key to this step.
If you really want to save your marriage, you will set aside time to work on your marriage issues every single day.  You could set aside some time like after the children go to bed or you could decide to take a walk after dinner every day for just the two of you.  But, you should plan to get back in touch with each other.  A daily habit of quality time with your spouse is very important.
Take some “romantic time” each week.  For some couples, this means reinstating a “date night” every week.  On Tuesdays, for instance, you get a sitter and go out for a picnic or walk around the mall.  As you can see, this doesn’t have to involve wine and roses every week, but a romantic time that you can look forward to all week is essential.
As you spend time together being romantic and discussing your problems, you must have an open mind toward what your partner is telling you.  You need to understand that a lot of the problems in your marriage are caused by – get this – you!  Until you really listen to your partner, you are not going to be able to effect the kind of personal change necessary to save your marriage.
You need to have faith in your partner.  You need to give him or her the benefit of the doubt.  You need to believe that the marriage still can and will work.  You also need to believe that your partner is still essentially the same person he or she was when you married them.  If you cannot have faith in your partner and in your marriage, you might as well give up now.
Finally, you have to be open to forgiveness.  If your partner has made mistakes – even major ones – you must be able to forgive.  If you insist that there are things that cannot be forgiven, there is no hope for your marriage.
Everyone makes mistakes.  Some people make big mistakes.  If that person makes a genuine apology – which includes acts of contrition and an effort to change – they deserve forgiveness.
This article gave you answers to that perplexing question, “how to save my marriage.”

The Relationships Wife Keep Her Happy

If you’re the relationships wife, you know you’re not in an easy position. You might feel put upon, as if everything from the home to some of the income is your responsibility. For years men worked while the wife took care of hearth and home. Today’s relationships wife is supposed to work and do it all with a smile on her face!
But you can’t do it all, and you can’t have it all. At least you can’t without personal sacrifice and exhaustion. Add saving your relationship and preserving your marriage into the mix, and it’s a sure recipe for fatigue and depression.
When things have gone wrong in your relationship, you should remember that you’re not solely responsible for fixing them. He plays a part, too, and you should let him do equal duty or at least some of it. Everything that happens, good or bad, is not only because of the relationships wife.
And if you’re the husband and the idea of keeping her happy seems daunting, you must remember that you’re not solely responsible for her happiness either. You can contribute to it, and it’s pretty easy for you to ruin it, but whether or not she’s a happy person in general is mainly up to her.
It’s important for the relationships wife to understand that men and women have different needs. This is important for the husband to realize, too. When you’re trying to heal your marriage, it might be a good idea for both of you to read books that talk about the differences between men and women.
John Gray’s books about Mars and Venus are good for pointing out the very different ways men and women feel nurtured in a relationship. They also point out how differently men view emotional things than women, and how each sometimes has an approach that’s directly opposite of what the other person may want.
Even if you feel like you share things equally and have a very balanced relationship, you might discover that it’s not. The relationships wife will tend to fall into certain roles, just as the husband does. Reading books about these differences can be an eye opening experience.
Even if your spouse isn’t interested in reading such books, you should give them a try. It’s not easy to  heal a relationship when only one person seems to do all the work. But if you make an effort, very often it makes such a difference that the other person can’t help but change either.
It can be an unconscious thing, in fact. By learning the best way to approach your spouse about certain issues, or understanding the way he or she naturally deals with things, it makes you a more thoughtful and respectful partner.
That alone is enough to affect the other person’s behavior and make things better. You shouldn’t have to do everything, but this is one thing you must take upon yourself. Whether you’re the relationships wife or the husband, you’re capable of helping heal the relationship.

Your Question How To Get My Wife To Love Me Again Your Answer Here

Its a tough one youve been asking yourself for a while now. . . "How to get my wife to love me again?"
There are many avenues that need to be explored when coming up with an answer to your question and of course the answers depend on your specific situation and circumstances. But there are some basic strategies that any man can apply towards gaining his wifes love back.
First, you need to figure out why your wife has stopped loving you (or why she says that she doesnt love you anymore, even if that may not be true).
What are some common reasons for this?
Reason Number 1:
Ive lost my wifes love because I had an affair and she found out.
Reason Number 2:
My wife found someone new that she feels is better than me.
Reason Number 3:
I havent stuck to my promises and agreements. I promised her that I would change my attitude or some of the things that annoy her but I havent done so. This has lead to disappointment and loss of hope on her part.
Reason Number 4:
I neglected my wife in her eyes. I didnt give her the love and attention she needed.
Reason Number 5: I tried to control everything she did. I didnt allow my wife enough freedom and space to do what she wanted.
Once youve identified the reason or combination of reasons, you can start to go to work on the problem. Many marriages that fail do so because the real problems arent really understood. Communication is a huge part of making the marriage work - and men think differently than women so even if you think you know how your wife feels about something (because thats the way you feel), chances are you probably dont. So talk to her.
Without the right communication, its really hard to resolve and kind of conflict, big or small. The right kind of communication will allow your damaged relationship to start recuperating and later to thrive if you give your wife the opportunity to share her dreams, concerns, hopes and desires with you.
If your wife has conceded to trying in the marriage again, dont just go back to what wasnt working. Keep things interesting, do little things to show your wife how much you love and appreciate her or do something pleasantly surprising.
Keeping your promises is another important part of the equation. If you havent kept your promises in the past, start doing so now. Your past broken promises have no doubt ruined the trust in your relationship but you can start repairing that now.
Finally, give your wife the space and time she needs. Let her know that you are there for her but dont smother her.
Hopefully the above information is enough to get you started working on your solving your big concern of "How to get my wife to love me again".

Need Some Tips On Making Up With My Boyfriend

When making up with my boyfriend I tried to remember these tips that my older and wiser friend had given me.

Myself and my ex got back together so I hope they work for you too.

1) Men dont like chit chat: Generally speaking men don’t like to talk in depth about their feelings and  forcing the issue will just cause them to clam up even more. So when you are trying to get back together, don’t force him to analyze what went wrong. If he behaved badly but is willing to apologize, accept it and move on.

2) Men can only concentrate on one thing at a time.  This is really true so don’t try and fight it. Very few  men can multitask and it is their genetics that are to blame so shouting at him is pointless.  The sooner  you accept that your man cannot listen to you while reading his newspaper or watching TV the better. Most of the time, he is not ignoring you on purpose. The more you try to understand that this is the way he is programmed the less arguments you will have.

3) Men like toys. The joke is that men never grow up and show it by still playing with toys.  Most men love to build things and start DIY jobs. Not all of them like to finish these jobs which can cause problems at home. Let your man indulge his hobbies, within reason. You can spend time with your girlfriends while he is fishing or building a boat. By compromising like this, he will probably be much more willing to spend time with you doing things together that you both enjoy.

4) Don’t assume that your man knows that you want to make up with him. Men in general tend to be a bit slow in picking up signals especially about relationships. For this reason, you sometimes need to be very direct  and tell them exactly how you feel. Men dont like games unless they understand the rules like in Golf or Chess. Us women change the rules on dating more often than men change their shirts so we need to give them a break if they get a little confused.

5) Have you heard the joke - "Why does it take loads of sperm to fertilize one egg?  Because they refuse to  stop for directions!"  I know the men in my life would prefer to get lost, than admit defeat and stop to ask for directions.  Generally men find it very hard to admit they are wrong. If you question what they say, they can believe you are implying they have done something wrong.  This can cause problems in modern relationships as women are so used to being the boss at work and giving others directions.

I am not suggesting that women have to become door mats or defer to their partners. But a little understanding of genetics goes a long way to help resolve the question of making up with my boyfriend.
